Grendene’s Plastic Shoes and Slippers
The Brazilian shoe manufacturer Grendene is innovating once more by teaming up with Italian Designer Gaetano Pesce and launching a new range of boots from its Melissa brand that can be customized to a very great extent by each and every customer. Each pair of boots is made of plastic disks, which can be cut with a simple pair of scissors, thus enabling each individual customer to either keep them as ankle boots or transform them into shoes, sandals, slippers etc.
Why it’s Cool:
It gives an extra boost to “Cool Customisation” and thus enabling the latent “Cool Creators of Cool” to have one more way to express their individuality and creativity. Besides that: it enables each pair to be 100% unique, via the imprint of the owner’s “DNA” onto it.
