Rising Femininity

Cool Feminities

For quite some time now, women have pulled decisively ahead, by many measures. Women in many cases, study harder, graduate more quickly and often with better results than their male counterparts. In spite of the ever-continuuing income gap between men and women, women also tend to have better jobs, more spending power and more social independence. That is, in comparison to their mothers. Hence: Women Doing Great.

RisingFemininity

Having said that, women’s road to equality or even superiority is paved with obstacles of many kinds. Women might study better, but in the end males still occupy most of the corporate top seats. Males and females are both parents, yet women still change most of the diapers. And in large parts of our all of a sudden not so globalized world, women still are severely oppressed. Not all women are fantasizing about ‘having it all’. They are more so preoccupied with ‘losing it all’.  This is: Obstacles on the Road to Success.

In the meanwhile, females have entered the era of the Normal Chaos of Love & Life. Women are freer than ever before. Freedom is the best horse to ride. But to ride where to? How to use this new freedom? There is no collective standard biography for females any more, as there was in more traditional times. There are only ‘choice biographies’ today. So choose wisely.
