Tender Human Pearls

Tender Human Pearls

The fake, the contrived, the disingenuous, the phony, the inauthentic: we feel more disgust for them than ever before. Yet we feel we are being surrounded by an overdose of inauthenticity. As a consequence, we yearn for the Tender, for Human Pearls that touch the heart and soul. Especially in a Culture of Distrust, we long for reaching out to each other, for a tiny bit -or more- of that human touch.

In recent times, we have seen and experienced a fair amount of distrust and lack of integrity in all layers of society. In today’s contemporary Culture of Distrust we have learnt to foster a skeptical attitude towards our banks, our politicians, let alone the advertisements surrounding us and the Google/Facebook Panoptical Complex. It has made our societies less harmonious and our economies less prosperous.

Tender Human Pearls

Happily the Tender, the Authentic and all Human Pearls come in here – and they come in many shapes and sizes. We search for them in the depths of our souls and at the heights of our dreams. We appreciate when we see companies trying to embrace them too – and the best of them do. We are moved when we encounter, all of a sudden, the tiniest of gestures of kindness in our daily lives.

After all, this is the stuff we appreciate in the Good Life.
