The Power of the Social Web

The Power of the Social Web

There are many reasons why one uses the Power of the Social Web. Sometimes groups connect and unite because they realize that organized in this way, one stands stronger. This is what we call Self-Organizing-Self-Reliance as part of the Power of the Social Web. Without it, the Arab Springs would have very likely not materialized on the scale it has. The Internet empowers us to get connected and united with an immense plethora and for an equally immense surplus of reasons. Still, most of the time we connect and unite for fun, leisure purposes.

Groups also connect and unite because they derive ‘economic’ profits from sharing from one another. This is what we call the Sharing Economy, as part of the Social Web’s impressive scope.

SocialWeb

Last but not least, we also see The Power of the Social Web changing the commercial communicative landscape that besieges us. TV ads still might strike a chord,  but virals on the Net are often more catchy – even more so when friends recommend them. Why stick to assembling the best virals crossing over the Net if you can also analyze Viral’s Succes Factors and travel the virtual landscape?

The Power of the Social Web is not a new trend. It has been an ongoing development for more than a decade. But because this power is fighting its way into our hearts and minds and organizational capacities in an ever changing manifestation, we continue to document it latest developments.
