THE ‘PERFECT CHOCOLATE CHIP’, CREATED BY TESLA DESIGNER REMY LABESQUE
June 3, 2021TECH OFFERS WHEELS FOR INCLUSIVE TOURISM
August 5, 2021What it is:
The conqueror has set up many different virtual fitness challenges, each with a different length depending on the location chosen, like Mount Fuji, the English Channel, the Grand Canyon and other tourist hotspots in the world. After taking on a challenge, you can do different activities, like running, walking or cycling, or any other exercises that are based on distance, and have your fitness apps log the miles or kilometers you travel. These will then be shared to either The Conqueror mobile app or the website.
During the challenge, you can track your progress on your phone and advance along the map of the challenge you have chosen and look at the virtual journey filled with images and interesting notes along the way, depending on how much distance you have travelled. You can unlock postcards for each region, and The Conqueror has pledged to plant trees every time you reach a set milestone on your journey. Each challenge also has its own medal, which will be mailed to you upon completion of the trek to commemorate your impressive feat.
Why it’s cool:
· It is a cool new substitute of hike travel, and at a much lower cost. Instead of traveling to these different places and paying the different fees, virtually anyone can participate in these challenges after paying a small fee of $29.95 for the entry and medal, or $59.95 for added apparel of the region you have chosen.
· 450 000 trees have been planted as of August 2020 because of all the participants.
· You can collect medals after each challenge, to remember this challenge by.
· These challenges also allow you to unlock virtual rewards, such as different souvenir pictures of the places you have virtually visited.
· Joining these challenges also allows you to join The Conquerors’ private community, filled with fitness enthusiasts and other people who have taken on these challenges.
· You can also join as a team and share the workload, for example the Mount Kilimanjaro trek is 97 kilometers long, but you could split those between you and a friend.
· Merchandise is also available by itself on the websites’ store, featuring different shirts and hoodies showing each trails’ logo.
Future growth potential:
With fitness getting more and more virtualized these days, especially thanks to COVID which has affected travel, and other companies making it mainstream such as Peloton. The Conqueror might be leading the way to a new way of virtual travel, much like virtual tours of museums, while also having you physically act to reach different parts of the tour. Another similar app to this, but on a smaller scale, is the “Walk to Mordor” app, which also tracks your exercising distance, and tracks where you have reached in Middle Earth, according to the Journey Frodo and Sam took in the Lord of the Rings novels.
