BEGIN TO TRUST AGAIN
March 31, 2022REAL HONEY BUT WITHOUT THE BEES
April 8, 2022WHAT IT IS?
There are many wineries in the world — old and new, large and small, ultra-modern and classic. And there are some quite unusual ones: for example, the ‘Tank Garage Winery,’ a craft winery located in the small town of Calistoga in the Napa Valley, California. A distinctive feature of this winery is that it is located in an old abandoned gas station that was built in the 1930s. When the founders of Tank Garage Winery opened the winery in 2014, no one knew whether this project would be successful. No one would have thought that a winery could be located at a gas station.
The founders of the winery had neither a business plan nor a strategy, they only had a dream to make something iconic. After some time, word of mouth fulfilled its task and Tank Garage Winery became a cult place for young people and wine lovers in California. The winery owners are also organizing charity projects. “Tank Cares is our initiative to help people live better, learn more and make their dreams come true. For every Tank Cares product sold, we will donate a portion of the proceeds to charities we are passionate about. In 2020, we raised over $ 25,000 for this purpose.” From the labels on the bottles to the atmosphere in the bar, every element of this winery has a sense of the spirit of California youth.
WHY IT’S COOL?
This is the wine version of the Hard Rock Café — not as a chain but as a stand-alone. It offers a Cool opportunity to sample wines made from obscure grape varietals, often in limited editions. While enjoying your wine at Tank Garage, you know that you are supporting aspiring better world initiatives as well.
WHY IT HAS FUTURE GROWTH POTENTIAL?
Recently, the trend for wine is gaining momentum, with the younger generation becoming increasingly interested in the noble drink. Competing in production with old, famous wineries from the wine-growing regions of Italy, France, Spain, etc. is difficult, to say the least. But, the emerging of new trends for old traditions contributes to the further development of the industry.

A winery/pub retro mix. I think the most appealing thing about it is how ‘absurd’ it is, while still being very real
Love this, Greogorii. This is creating a new ‘web of meaning’ around ‘old stuff’. You don’t mention the term ‘web of meaning’ but i am going to use it in my presentations! And I thank you. Carl
This is very weird, but in a good way. I’ve never seen any place like this one. This is what’s beautiful about these articles, we keep finding new, cool things every time! I would actually love to visit such places.
Nice one. At first it doesn’t seem to be a big news, but when the text ends with “the emerging of new trends for old traditions contributions to the further development of the industry” we understand that there is a cleverness behind it. It is really important to have businesses that focus on new audiences, especially in a sector as traditional as wine.
