Steven Webster is the CEO of Asensei, a company that focuses on movement recognition technology. Originally from Scotland and with a background in electronics and computer science, he transitioned from chip design to software and worked at Adobe and Microsoft before starting his own company. Asensei’s goal is to track and understand human movements digitally, using computer vision and wearables to capture movements, interpret their meaning, and provide coaching and improvements in real-time. The company aims to give consumers a virtual coaching experience that closely monitors their movements and biometric data. While the technology is groundbreaking, it is not yet fully perfected for widespread gym use. Asensei initially focuses on healthcare applications but plans to expand into digital fitness and connected fitness sectors.
