WHAT IT IS?
Did you hold an event after which there were banners? Take your time to throw them away! It’s simple. 1 sq.m. banner = 1 shopping bag 35×40 cm. Polyarus is a Russian designer brand of contemporary culture of “conscious consumption”. This project originated in St. Petersburg, when the founder of the brand Alexandra decided to sew bags from bicycle cameras, car cameras, advertising banners and seat belts. Polyarus has made an agreement with St. Petersburg companies to repair wheels and is taking car cameras for recycling. Various large companies such as Hyundai MotorStudio, Adidas, YOTA, Johnnie Walker, and other large Russian companies are giving away their old banner ads. This is how the material for accessories appears, and most importantly leads to very interesting collaborations. The founder of the project calls it “noble commerce”, this is not charity, this is an exclusively commercial project.
WHY IT´S COOL?
Each accessory created gives new life to used car and bicycle cameras, advertising banners, seat belts. The “indestructible” material (usually sent to landfill) endows stylish backpacks, clutches, bags and accessories with enviable durability and practicality. Conceptual minimalism and brevity, handmade and individual approach. Smart recycling and uniqueness.
WHY IT HAS FUTURE GROWTH POTENTIAL?
In the modern world of materials, every object needs to be given a second life, especially if the production and disposal of this object causes colossal harm to the ecological environment! Polyarus activities are structured in such a way that collaboration is not a one-time project, but a principle of work! This is one of the rare occasions when the benefits and benefits of interaction are evident.
