WHAT IT IS?
When I first walked into The Social Hub in Amsterdam City, I thought it was just going to be another trendy place to stay. But within hours, I realized it was something else entirely. It wasn’t just a hotel, it was a social playground designed for a generation that refuses to be bored. A place where digital nomads, students, and travelers blend into a community that feels more like a campus-meets-clubhouse than traditional hospitality.
When you check in, you’re welcomed into a lobby that feels vibrant and different, an instant warm touch that already breaks the ice. The space isn’t a waiting room, it’s a living room full of energy: co-working areas buzzing with laptops, bikes parked inside, and murals begging to be posted on Instagram. And then, the unexpected: stand-up comedy nights, DJ sets, even yoga sessions. This vibe also connects perfectly with the rise of post-corona social, where every square meter has to create experiences and create real human connection. Suddenly, I felt like extending my stay there.
WHY IT´S COOL?
- Don’t be boring, collaborate: The Social Hub thrives on collabs and creative energy, from student projects to events that mix hospitality with culture.
- Fighting the loneliness epidemic: In a world where Netflix and gaming often replace human contact, this hotel brings people back together in a natural and fun way.
- Gen Z magnet: It’s colorful, bold, and designed for connection. Every corner is Instagrammable, but also casual enough to feel real.
- Purpose with vibes: It’s not only fun but also meaningful. The Social Hub creates spaces that encourage connection and purpose while keeping things playful.

WHY IT HAS FUTURE GROWTH POTENTIAL?
The Social Hub really connects with today’s need for uber-social and luxury hostals that go way beyond just beds and breakfast. It brings together lifestyle, community, and purpose, while keeping things fun, sustainable, and authentic.
What makes it stand out is not just the cool design or the events, but the way it makes you want to belong. In a post-Covid world where Gen Z and millennials are searching for connection as much as comfort, I truly believe this model is not only a WOW on my list, but also part of the future of hospitality. The Social Hub has already proven how a hotel can turn into a lifestyle movement, one that can easily grow in other cities and cultures, attracting people who don’t just want a bed, but a meaningful experience they’ll remember.
