WHAT IT IS?
San Diego has the most concentration of tequila and mezcal outside of Mexico because of its closeness to the border. El Agave Restaurant is a restaurant in Old Town, San Diego, which is the third biggest tequila museum in the world, with over 3,500 different tequilas and mezcales. While working here, people were impressed that while it is still a restaurant, the walls are lined with their collection of bottles. This gives the restaurant a sense of character and makes the dinner extremely memorable. The walls are made specifically for holding thousands of bottles, made with real wood and glass.
WHY IT´S COOL?

- Third biggest collection of tequila in the world
- One of the only restaurants that is also a museum
- The walls are made specifically for the holding of tequila with real wood and glass
- Tequila tourism is booming — especially in places like: Tequila, Jalisco (home to distilleries and agave fields) and Mexico City (cultural tourism hub)
WHY IT HAS FUTURE GROWTH POTENTIAL?
Tequila and mezcal are among the fastest growing spirits in the world. El Agave Restaurant is the only restaurant that counts as a museum as well, providing cultural growth and also economical because of the significance behind classic and old bottles. “Certification of 100% Tequila by the Tequila Regulation Board” is noted among its awards. This collection is a representation of Mexico for people who cannot visit but wish to experience something similar when it comes to tequila and mezcal tasting.
