WHAT IT IS?
Even though the Bars are venues that have existed for a long time, recently the concepts and ideas developed on them can be extremely impressing. Cocktails have been the main character in these venues since before the alcohol prohibition. They have been evolving to the point where you cannot even know what to expect from them… Speak easy bars are one of many examples of venues that will try to maintain the soul of the cocktails but giving them a fresher image. Mixing spirits and juices might not be so rare or impressive alone, now a days the mixologists have the need to create a wow factor.
Change on the matter: a great touch point, this is a compound of technics which is used to change the properties of an object to impress the guest, it can be but not limited to, change in color by chemical reaction, encasing the drink into a hollow ice sphere, color changes by chemical reaction, simply by serving your drink in a normal vessel but bringing it encased in a smoked chest, or using fire to uncover a drink hidden in a book. Who would not remember chef Ferran Adria, El Bulli, with his work that influenced and changed the way we see food and drinks. Even though I never visited his restaurant, I can imagine been in a table asking for this drink but just receiving a martini glass full of cotton candy, then been served a on top some liquids that will make the candy disappear and then slowly unveiling the pina colada.

WHY IT´S COOL?

WHY IT HAS FUTURE GROWTH POTENTIAL?
Visually appealing drinks can captivate the audience in a way that morphs a simple and usual situation, having a drink on a bar, into a experience that can last over time. Giving the impression that your establishment is fresh, innovating, and out of the norm. Imaging going to a bar, ordering a Tom Collings variation, expecting a lemonade looking drink (basically colorless) then the waiter, comes with a half full glass with a blue liquid, serves it to you but immediately after placing this next to you, he fills your glass to the brim with some other colorless liquid, magic happens on the spot, every one speechless, the drink turns into violet beverage. Or imagine receiving your drink with the glass covered with metal wool, you get al confused and then the server torch the full glass making the metal wool to disappearing in flashes sparkles. Creating a necessity that the customers didn’t even knew they had, making them crave to return.
Now i just want to ask, would you get impressed by this or would you simply taste your drink without giving it a thought on what all that show was?
