Since I was young, I always considered myself to be a very self-confident person. Some good examples of this are:
- I became an amateur ballet dancer when I was a kid
- I always argued against professors in high school every time I believed they were unfair.
Both things demonstrate a courageous personality and how emotionally expressive I was at the time. However, it cost me punishments and social problems with some lecturers in the high school. By contrast, this way of being allowed me to express myself through dance and perform every ballet step pretty well.

As time went by, I realised that classmates who kept silent in discussions achieved better academic results than me. Also, they stepped on to the next courses more easily.
Despite the fact that my behaviour was in line with my beliefs, it is obvious that not telling myself would have benefited me in certain circumstances. Hence, I had to evolve into a more instrumentally rational person which was not easy at first. This allowed me to complete the high school chapter successfully.
All in all, I strongly believe that emotional intelligence is one of the most important resources individuals have, and plays a key role in both personal and professional lives.

I would like to conclude this post by congratulating Mr Carl Rohde for its magnificent teaching performance, as part of the subject Trends in hospitality of the Master in Hotel Management by the EUHT StPOL. I got impressed by how well all the topics have been presented. Also, I liked how useful the post-based hand-ins have been to me. This method allowed me to meet deadlines whilst working.
