WHAT IT IS?
Numeroventi artistic residence and hotel is located in the historic Palazzo Galli Tassi, in the heart of Florence. Everything about it is a true work of art. From its 16th-century courtyard to the frescoed walls and its soaring ceilings. The residence wittily combines the already present elements of the building with a minimalist Scandinavian design, no extravagant or highly expensive interior design objects. This is a place that fosters authentic and simple living.
The idea for this artist residency and hotel arose from a conversation between Martino di Napoli Rampolla and Alessandro Modestino Ricciardelli after recruiting Openhouse magazine’s editor and interior designer, Andrew Trotter, to redesign the interiors of this inspiring palace. They wanted to offer artists and creatives a space to develop new projects outside of their work routine, and for the same space to house a boutique hotel and exhibition hall.
The collaboration between the artistic residency and the boutique creates an inspiring environment to have an immersive experience based on contemplation and silence. Local and international artists, digital nomads, and guests from around the world can work and stay.
The structure is a perfect example of meaningful hospitality. It welcomes established and emerging artists, organizing workshops and exhibitions to which both boutique hotel guests and local citizens can participate.
Numeroventi is a heaven of peace where you can create, rest, and connect.

WHY IT´S COOL?
- New hotel concept: Numeroventi created a collaboration between art, entertainment, meaningful connections, and bleisure.
- Do It Yourself: The best of the artists and guests’ creations then become part of the hotel design. You can be part of making this historical building even more unique.
- Experience economy-based: This is not just a boutique hotel; it’s a 360° experience. Everything in this boutique hotel is unique, from the 16th-century building to the artworks that furnish the hotel and the exhibitions of emerging artists.
- Simplicity and sustainability: No expensive artworks or furniture shipped from around the world. Everything here is simple and guest-made. This is poignant for modern travelers as 53.6% of Gen-Z travelers recognize sustainability as a key motivator when choosing accommodation.
- Connection: By welcoming all the artists from around the world, Numeroventi created a space where ideas are shared, collaboration is fostered, and differences are welcomed.
WHY IT HAS FUTURE GROWTH POTENTIAL?

Numeroventi’s growth potential lies in its ability to scale creativity without losing authenticity. As both a boutique hotel and an artist residency, it perfectly fits today’s experience economy—where travelers don’t just visit, they participate. Its concept is scalable and could easily expand to other cities, creating connected creative pop-up collection hubs that combine stay, work, and collaboration. This is the kind of flagship life experience people remember and share, a “tiny experience” that becomes emotionally large. It’s simple, sustainable, and meaningful—built on local materials, guest-made art, and a moral sense of hospitality that resonates with a generation seeking purpose. In a world fighting loneliness, Numeroventi fosters genuine connections through community and creation. It’s an example of how hospitality can evolve into something immersive, personal, and adventurous—proof that the future of travel belongs to those who dare to blend art, life, and belonging.
