WHAT IT IS?
As a child, I have always wanted to live in a treehouse. A place tucked away in between branches, far away from the real world. A place for shelter or just to see the earth from another perspective. I did not accomplish that as a child, but I do have the opportunity now thanks to the all-inclusive luxurious ‘Treehouse Lodge’ in the Amazon, a 345-acres pristine jungle reserve located in the confluence of the Yarapa and Cumaceba rivers. It is made up of 12 private treehouses. They all have different sizes and different heights off the ground. The tallest treehouse, ‘Casa Alta’, is 67 feet (20 meters) off the ground! Depending on the water levels, you will reach the entrance of Treehouse Lodge over a lagoon or via the jungle floor. It leaves the guests mesmerized from the first moment on. Treehouse Lodge has been designed to give its guests the best views of the rainforest and its native animal life. Every treehouse has a lower public platform and an upper private platform. The lodges are connected by bridges.
At the lodge, you may be fortunate enough to see five different species of monkeys, pink and gray dolphins, sloths, macaws, parrots, and parakeets. The lodge has even been visited by small tigers and jaguars! Seeing monkeys from the ground is wonderful, but watching 50 monkeys migrate through the lodge from the view of your treehouse or connecting bridges is unforgettable and thrilling.
