What Is It?

Good Hotel isn’t your typical hotel chain. Its roots trace back to 2006 when founder Marten Dresen traveled through Guatemala and was inspired to launch Niños de Guatemala, a foundation that builds schools for children in rural areas. With the need for a sustainable income stream to keep this charitable work alive, Marten dreamed up Good Hotel, the first of which opened in Antigua, Guatemala, in 2012.

Fast forward to today, and the brand has expanded its impact with locations in London and Guatemala City, blending minimalist design with a powerful social mission. With each stay, guests are contributing directly to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and offering job training to locals.

  • Empowering Communities Good Hotel offers something more than just a bed. Their Good Training Program is a game-changer. Unemployed locals can enroll in a three-month hospitality training course, after which they’re guaranteed job placement at either the hotel or one of its partners.   • Social Impact with Every Stay: Profits from the hotel go straight to Niños de Guatemala, an organization that educates 550 children who might otherwise never see the inside of a classroom. This means that simply by booking a room, you’re contributing to a cause that transforms lives.
